Twitter’s new CEO Linda Yaccarino is all set to take charge as the top boss after Elon Musk officially confirmed her new role. The World Economic Forum (WEF) chair has reportedly departed from NBCUniversal after over a decade of serving as the advertising chief.
Even before Elon Musk officially announced the name of the next Twitter CEO, a WSJ report mentioned that Linda Yaccarino was in talks for the job. While nobody confirmed the development, the report also suggested that Yaccarino resigned from NBCUniversal for this job.

- At NBCUniversal, she has been known for being an industry advocate for finding better ways to measure the effectiveness of advertising. As a top boss of NBCUniversal’s advertising sales, she played a key role in launching Peacock streaming service.
- Before this, Twitter’s new CEO had served for almost two decades at Turner Entertainment and was known for spear-heading the network’s ad sales operations towards the digital era.
- As far as Yaccarino’s education goes, she is an alum of the Penn State University, where she studied liberal arts and telecommunications.
