New Delhi, July 9: Crude oil futures on Thursday dropped 0.39 per cent to Rs 3,061 per barrel as participants trimmed their positions on low demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for July delivery fell by Rs 12, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 3,061 per barrel with a business volume of 4,314 lots.
Crude oil for August delivery was quoting lower by Rs 7, or 0.23 per cent, at Rs 3,085 per barrel with an open interest of 112 lots.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil was trading lower by 0.34 per cent at US dollar 40.76 per barrel.

Brent crude was trading 0.30 per cent down at US dollar 43.16 per barrel in New York.
