How SmartCare will benefit Flipkart's customers? How does this plan work?
With the onset of the festive season and the expected surge in shopping, Tata AIG has introduced- SmartCare warranty. SmartCare is an extended warranty product available for Flipkart customers across their small home appliances range. With this set-up, consumers can avail of an extended warranty of one year, in addition to the manufacturer’s warranty for new small home appliances in four different categories like juicer mixer grinder, induction cooktop, electric cooker, and vacuum cleaners at an affordable price.

The ‘SmartCare’ extended warranty looks after the concerns that are covered under the manufacturer warranty, thus ensuring consumers can save money on any repairs. An increased awareness, combined with the importance of small home appliances in one’s daily lives has led to consumers often seeking protection for their products.
With Tata AIG’s SmartCare extended warranty, even owners of small home appliances can avail of the warranty at a nominal cost through Flipkart in a seamless digital journey.
What is the premium range of these home appliances?
This would depend on the price range of the home appliance. For example, the sum insured for an appliance between Rs 500-1000, the minimum sum insured is Rs 500, and the maximum would be Rs 1000, while the premium for this range would be Rs 50 (inclusive of GST). The range of premiums starts at Rs 50 up to Rs 999.

What is the claim procedure?
Filing a claim with Tata AIG’s Smart Care extended warranty is simple and convenient. On purchase of any small home appliance from Flipkart, customers availing an extended warranty will receive the SmartCare extended warranty certificate through Flipkart. To register claims, customers can call, SMS, or email within seven days of malfunction referencing the certificate. We provide both cashless and reimbursement facilities for customers to select according to their convenience, depending upon serviceable areas.
