Reckitt has expanded its ‘Self-Care for New Moms and Kids Under 5’ programme to rural and tribal India. The initiative focuses on nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.

Partnering with Plan India, Reckitt launched a new theme song, 'Maa E Maa,' to raise awareness. The company also aligned the programme with the government's ‘Stop Diarrhoea Campaign’.

The programme emphasises diet, physical activity, and hygiene. It aims to improve maternal and child health, aligning with WHO guidelines and government plans.

“At Reckitt, our mission is to protect, heal, and nurture towards a cleaner, healthier world,” said Ravi Bhatnagar, Director of External Affairs and Partnerships, SOA, Reckitt. “This programme addresses challenges faced by isolated communities.”

Mohammed Asif, Executive Director of Plan International (India Chapter), highlighted self-care's importance in underserved areas, saying, “Self-care is crucial for managing health, especially in areas with limited healthcare access.”

Reckitt aims to reach 10 million mothers and children. The programme includes home visits, counseling, and community-based activities. It has already impacted thousands of women and children.

Through collaboration, Reckitt seeks to reduce healthcare burdens and build community resilience.
