Youth And Startups Should Be Made Part Of The Green Hydrogen Ecosystem: Minister

International Conference on Green Hydrogen 2024 curtain raiser focussed on the involvement of youth, startups and raising awareness on green hydrogen

India has launched the National Green Hydrogen Mission in January 2023 with the aim to poster India as a global hub for production, usage and export of green hydrogen and its derivatives.

Minister of New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi, at the curtain raiser of International Conference on Green Hydrogen 2024 said that the startups and youth need to be made part of the green hydrogen ecosystem.

The conference is to bring together minds to discuss the green hydrogen value chain to meet India’s goal to achieve 5 MMT of green hydrogen by 2030. India has launched the National Green Hydrogen Mission in January 2023 with the aim to poster India as a global hub for production, usage and export of green hydrogen and its derivatives.

During the curtain raiser, Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, elaborated on raising awareness on green hydrogen and including startups for research and development and replacing grey hydrogen with green hydrogen will be the target. He further delved into India and US partnership for green hydrogen and highlighted the important role of green hydrogen in leading India and other developed nations towards a clean and green energy transition.

The mega event will be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi from 11th-13th September 2024 and will have over 120 exhibitors and over 150 national and international speakers.
