Car-sharing marketplace Zoomcar has narrowed its net losses to $25.62 million in the financial year 2025. Previously, the company reported a net loss of $34.27 million in the last financial year, it said in an official statement.
The company posted a record contribution profit of $4.25 million in FY25, reversing a loss of $0.98 million recorded in FY24. Its net revenue fell by 7.9% to $9.1 million in the reported fiscal year, down from $9.89 million in FY24.
“Cost of Revenue reduced by 49% from $10.33 million in FY24 to $5.30 million in FY25, supported by operational efficiencies and dynamic pricing. Marketing spend declined 75%, alongside a 43% reduction in G&A and a 32% decrease in technology-related expenses,” the statement read.
The company derives contribution profit after reducing incentive payouts, marketing and promotional expenses from grows profit and various elements included in the cost of revenue like rent, insurance, travel, etc.
Bengaluru-headquartered Zoomcar connects individual vehicle owners (Hosts) with users (Guests), offering flexible access to vehicles for self-drive rentals. It posted 10% growth in the number of bookings to 426,788 in FY25, against 387,821 in FY24.
"Total costs and expenses decreased from $41.57 million in FY24 to $19.51 million in FY25. These savings directly supported improved unit economics and reduced cash burn," it added.
Zoomcar Steps Up Safety with CARS24 Tie-Up
The company has announced a partnership with CARS24, a leading platform for used car transactions in India. The tie up aims to bring industry-grade vehicle inspection and tracking standards to the self-drive car-sharing space.
Under this collaboration, CARS24 will conduct pre-delivery inspections and install GPS tracking devices on newly onboarded host vehicles, ensuring greater transparency, safety, and guest satisfaction. The pilot will initially cover host vehicles in Delhi, with the potential to expand based on results.

Zoomcar will also equip its vehicles with advanced GPS tracking devices. These devices will enable real-time tracking in the event of unauthorised use and allow for continuous monitoring of driver behavior, thereby promoting safer driving practices.
This partnership is part of Zoomcar’s broader push to improve asset quality across its platform.
