Siddharth Jhawar, vice president of global growth at Zomato and head of the company's recent 'Intercity Legends' launch service has quit the company. He announced his exit from the online food delivery platform through a Linkedin post.

Jhawar adding that he would join the machine learning-based advertising tech platform MOLOCO, which raised $150 million at a valuation of $1.5 billion in a Series D funding round led by Tiger Global in 2021.

Before joining Zomato in April 2021, Jhawar was head of strategic initiatives at Hotstar.

Kamayani Sadhwani, who was working as a director-category at Blinkit will now replace Jhawar. Incidentally, Zomato acquired Blinkit in 2022 in a Rs 4,447 crore deal.

In September 2022, Zomato made the ‘Intercity Legends’ product live as a 24-hour delivery that offers food from premium restaurant brands from 10 separate cities. It has onboarded 120 restaurants in Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Mathura, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Agra and plans to expand it to 10 more cities in the next few months.
