Google has agreed to restore delisted Indian apps on its Play Store and will work on a solution to the contentious payment issue, IT and Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Tuesday.
Google and start-ups had multiple rounds of discussion with the government on Monday, following which the tech giant agreed to restore the delisted apps.
"We believe Google and the start-up community will be able to arrive at a long-term solution in the coming months," the minister said.
This comes after the tech giant removed 10 apps from the Play Store for “policy violations” on March 1. The ten apps, including BharatMatrimony, Truly Madly, and QuackQuack, were removed for non-payment of the service fee.

While Google maintains its own defenses, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) accused the internet giant of engaging in anti-competitive behavior through questionable billing methods.
