It might get you places and in style but even upmarket taxi service Uber clearly needs help finding its way, as is evident from its $3-billion bid for battered Finnish phone-maker Nokia’s native map application Here. Touted to be the sole competitor to tech titan Google’s Maps, Here might be up for sale soon if the overtures by its parent are any indication, and Uber is watching closely. Surprisingly, Uber is not the only automotive connection — BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz are all in line to get Here.
