After ending Friday on the positive last week, the market went red this morning as the S&P BSE Sensex kickstarted on a losing note of 28.53 points or 0.08 per cent while the NSE Nifty is trailing by 11.35 points or 0.10 per cent, after two hours of market opening.
ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto, M&M and Maruti Suzuki were lead gainers in the BSE indices whereas Tata Steel, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Coal India, Kotak Mahindra and ONGC were the top losers.
At the NSE, HPCL, IOC and BPCL were on the high end while Vedanta, Hindalco and Tata Steel were the top three losers.

In the commodities sector, gold price went down by Rs 37 or 0.12 per cent and stood at Rs 30,973 per 10 grams, while Brent Crude saw a decline of Rs 79 or 1.78 per cent to stand at Rs 4,356 per bbl.
The banking sector saw the shares of IndusInd Bank and SBI rise by 0.75 per cent and 0.04 per cent, respectively, while Axis Bank and HDFC Bank were down by 0.06 per cent and 0.56 per cent, respectively, at the time of filing this report.
