The share market on Wednesday concluded on a positive note as the benchmark indices S&P BSE Sensex gained 46.64 points or 0.13 per cent to close at 35,739.16 and the NSE Nifty gained 13.85 points or 0.13 per cent to close at 10,856.70.
Dr. Reddy’s Labs, TCS, SBI, Power Grid Corp, Infosys were on the top with a gain of 2.82 per cent, 2.43 per cent, 1.70 per cent, 1.43 per cent, 1.41 per cent, respectively. Whereas, Tata Steel, Adani Ports, HUL, Bharti Airtel, ONGC ended the day with a loss of 2.12 per cent, 1.48 per cent, 1.31 per cent, 1.30 per cent, 0.79 per cent, respectively.

At the NSE, Dr. Reddy ‘s Labs, Cipla, TCS led the charts while Tata Steel, Adani Ports and Zee Entertainment Enterprises were the top three losers at the end of day’s trading.
In the global and Asian markets, Nikkei, CAC 40, FTSE 100 and DAX gained 0.38 per cent, 0.26 per cent, 0.53 per cent, 0.20 per cent, respectively. Hang Seng and Shanghai Composite were at the losing end with a loss of 1.20 per cent and 0.97 per cent, respectively at the time of going to press.
The BSE Midcap and Small Cap Index were on the low as the Midcap Index lost 73.65 points or 0.46 per cent and stood at 16,077.51, while the Small Cap Index had a loss of 36.63 points or 0.21 per cent, and stood at 17,028.87, respectively.

The banking sector saw SBI and Axis Bank gain 4.85 points (1.71 per cent) and 3.5 points (0.65 per cent). HDFC Bank and IndusInd Bank were at a loss of 12.4 points (0.61per cent) and 9.3 points (0.48 per cent) respectively, at the end of the day.
In commodities, both gold and Brent Crude stayed low. Gold lost Rs. 14 (0.04 per cent) and closed at 31,142 per 10 grams, and Brent Crude lost Rs. 10 (0.22 per cent) and closed at Rs 4468 per bbl, at the time of filing this report.
At the end of the day's trading session, the 10-year benchmark indices of government securities concluded at 7.9304.
